On this page we have a weight loss calculator that can also be of use for maintaining your current weight or you can work out your calories for gaining muscle mass!
Calories are the energy units that make up your intake of food. Your body uses this energy as fuel to get through the day. Weight loss is simply finding the right energy balance.
Macronutrients are fats, carbs and protein. Eating more of one and less of another is not the reason for weight gain or weight loss. There are benefits to each macronutrient but personal preference is important which is why I’ve given various options to tweak the amounts to find what’s best for you.

It’s very important that you don’t eat too little, it’s not good for you. Not only does it make you feel a bit crap, it negatively affects your hormonal balance and you’ll lose muscle mass. This means that you’ll have less of a chance of that toned physique.
To have a strong, healthy metabolism to be able to eat more, you can increase your activity levels or training sessions. This will enable you to eat more on a daily basis without it affecting your weight.
An increased level of muscle mass also boosts your metabolism, so don’t be afraid of lifting those weights!
